I’m thrilled to share that the completely redesigned rgodfrey.com is now live in its first beta form. Registration is still disabled and there aren’t any active user accounts just yet, but every piece of the site’s foundation is in place. You’ll immediately notice a fresh, unified look across the public blog and the behind-the-scenes management tools.
I chose Metronic UI because it offers a comprehensive, enterprise-grade component library and prebuilt themes that let me deliver a polished, consistent user experience with minimal custom styling. Its responsive grid system, customizable layouts, and wide range of ready-made widgets—from data tables and charts to form controls and modals—accelerate development while ensuring professional design standards. By leveraging Metronic’s extensible Sass variables and built-in accessibility support, I can rapidly prototype new features, maintain a unified look across every page, and focus on functionality rather than reinventing common UI elements.
A standout feature of this release is the new security control in your profile. When you do create an account, you’ll have the choice of three password-hashing methods—standard, enhanced, or Argon2—so you can decide how much protection feels right for you. It’s an uncommon level of flexibility that puts your security choices in your hands.
All of my internal configuration tools have been reorganized into a dedicated Host area. That’s where I manage site-wide settings, tenant setup, and audit logs. Once tenant registration opens, each organization will have its own Admin area, where you’ll invite team members, assign roles, adjust tenant-specific settings, and access any integrated applications—very much like logging into the SaaS products you already know and trust.
Over the next few releases, I’ll be rolling out full blog-post creation and editing directly in the Admin interface, so new articles can go live without touching code. I’ll also be building a billing area where current customers can view and pay invoices, download quotes, access project files, and more. Additional tools and mini-apps will follow, all designed to help small and medium businesses streamline their workflows in one central portal.
You’re already here on rgodfrey.com, my personal blog and portfolio where I write about the projects I’m passionate about—both professional work and personal experiments. Over the years I’ve also built a handful of specialized sites:
By unifying these sites here on rgodfrey.com, you’ll enjoy a seamless design and single sign-on experience—no hopping between different logins or looks—while still preserving the unique purpose of each application.
You might recognize some of the other offerings I’m bringing together here—eXaaS, my long-running managed IT services and consulting business, and 1TimePassword.com, the single-use passcode generator (visit 1timepassword.com to learn more). In the coming weeks, those experiences will be fully integrated under this same design and navigation. I’m also always open to new development or IT consulting projects. If you’d like to collaborate, you can find more about my background and past work on the about page.
